I just mixed up some water and flour and repeating the proces every day for about 4 to 5 days, leaving it on the counter, in a warm place and I got my sourdough. Well, the very first time it didn't work out. But ever since it did, I use some to bake and feed the rest and put it back into the fridge. If you would like to see some pictures of my sourdough bread, go to my blog http://lindasbread.blogspot.com/
Leave a comment :)))
LindaLinda's Sourdough Breadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12643212962399994203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3420957879376754270.post-50883403347066815992009-12-10T13:52:32.334-05:002009-12-10T13:52:32.334-05:00Brilliant idea! Next day feed it a bit more. Depending on the weather, you can get away by just feeding it a little every other day. At the end of the week (or any where inbetween) you have some starter avaiable to you! (FYI I use my starter like a yeast additive sometimes and let my dough rise over night).. It's a little more time consuming than you kraut dough, but I do sometimes find myself without kraut (or other fermenting veggies..)La Lahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12806709909397298218noreply@blogger.com
