If you have done some research or have experience with people homeopathics, it applies directly to animals. In fact we have used the same colic remedy on ourselves for stomach flu, worked great. It just takes some different skills to diagnose an animal because they cannot tell you how they are feeling. I will write another post specifically on veterinary homeopathics, we have had a perfect record of successes using homeopathics on our animals. And they don't lie or experience the placebo effect, they either get better or they dont.

Cindy and d.a., I have been using the series of books authored by George MacLeod. He has a book on cattle, goats, horses, and pigs, and a general veterinary book, but nothing specific for birds. I also use the Veterinary Materia Medica and Clinical Repertory by MacLeod, as a cross reference, it includes all the above animals, but no references to birds again. I'm sure there's a book out there, but I can't recommend one. In fact, the chickens are the only ones I have never been treated homeopathically. I have had a book on my wish list, in this department, looks to be a good one, but I've not had a thourough look into it: The Complete Herbal Handbook for Farm and Stable by Juliette de Bairacli Levy.

Also would love to know which homeopathy books you...

Also would love to know which homeopathy books you're using - especially interested in ones that cover bird ailments (chickens, geese, etc.)

*claps*

With so many people starting up owning farm animals for the first time ( and others like me seriously contempating it for the future) I appreciate posts of good common sense and sound knowledge! Sadly theres some sources online that have only 2 suggestions for a sick animal: a vet or a .22

May we get a booklist of your more used references please?
